Purpose
To provide a safe and fun space for teenage youth of high school age to learn what is involved in becoming mature disciples of the Lord Jesus.
Format
We give ample time for socialising, and usually begin with a fun activity or game that everyone can participate in. We also have a time of worship in song and then spend about an hour in Discipleship Groups in which we study the Bible and discuss what it might look like to obey Jesus in our daily lives. We run both Junior (Years 7-9) and Senior (Years 10-12) Discipleship Groups, who generally use different curriculum materials based on a three-year curriculum (six years in total). Discipleship Groups conclude with a time of prayer.
Once a month we have Connect, where we combine with the Youth Group of PAC (North). A slightly different format is followed for Connect.
Meeting time and place
Every Friday night during school term, 7:30-9:30 PM
Unit 6, 41 Belmont Ave, Belmont
Leaders
We have a team of leaders, mostly young adults, who have received training in leading youth to faith in Christ and discipling young people. All leaders are required to have valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) cards and have completed the relevant ChildSafe training.
